NBA: Jason Kidd is focus of trade talk
MINNEAPOLIS - Jason Kidd is unhappy and wants to be traded to a contender. The Nets may grant him his wish.
A league source said the Nets were exploring all options to move the point guard.
One scenario has Kidd returning to Dallas, where he started his career, and would include another team. The Nets would get Devean George, DeSagana Diop and draft picks.
The Mavericks, Lakers, Nuggets and Cavaliers have the most interest in Kidd, who wouldn't mind returning to the West.
The Nets also are gauging the interest level in Vince Carter and Richard Jefferson.
"At the end of the day I would be surprised if he wasn't moved," said one Eastern Conference official. "Of Kidd, Carter and Jefferson, Kidd's the easiest one to move."
Webber to Warriors. More than 13 years after Chris Webber demanded to leave the Golden State Warriors, the free-agent forward and former Sixer is set to return.
Webber confirmed he will rejoin the Warriors and coach Don Nelson, who won a power struggle with the former No. 1 draft pick in their messy first stint with the franchise.
The five-time all-star is expected to be with the Warriors when they visit Houston tonight, though it's uncertain whether he'll play.
Nelson apparently masterminded the Warriors' decision to re-sign Webber, who hasn't played in the NBA this season, as a backup big man and offensive playmaker.
