Drexel to turn armory hall into arena
Drexel will renovate the Drill Hall at the Philadelphia Armory, with plans for a convocation center and basketball arena, the university announced yesterday.
Details of the lease agreement with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will be announced today at a news conference at the West Philadelphia landmark.
The Armory is home to the 103d Engineering Battalion of the National Guard as well as ROTC programs for several universities.
