Michigan St. edges Delaware St.

Courtney Davidson made four free throws in the final 8.6 seconds to help No. 19 Michigan State come from behind to top Delaware State, 65-62, last night in a women's game in Dover, Del.

The Hornets' Ashlee Burbage attempted to tie the game with a three-pointer at the buzzer, but her shot bounced off the front of the rim.

Raquel Collier scored 19 points to lead Delaware State (2-3), which played host to a nationally ranked opponent for the first time at Memorial Hall. The Hornets were scrappy on defense, forcing 25 Michigan State turnovers.

Kalisha Keane scored 18 points for Michigan State (5-1), and Allyssa DeHaan and Davidson each had 15.

Tennessee 81, Louisiana Tech 60 - Four Volunteers scored in double figures in a rout of the Techsters (2-2) in Knoxville, Tenn., in the 40th meeting of a long-standing rivalry.

Top-ranked Tennessee (5-0) jumped on Tech by hitting eight of its first nine three-pointers. The Vols built a 31-point halftime lead and were never threatened.

St. Mary's 91, Rowan 67 - Kristina Wallace scored 14 points and made four steals, but the Profs (2-1) were overwhelmed by the Seahawks (3-0) in Glassboro, N.J.

Neumann 69, Wilkes 59 - Brittany Whetts had 15 points and 12 rebounds as the Knights (2-1) topped the Colonels (0-4) in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.

Millersville 65, University of Sciences 55 - Allison Weiss scored 13 points and Colleen Christian had 12 for the Devils (1-3) in a loss to the Marauders (5-0) in Philadelphia.

Men

Connecticut 93, Florida A&M 54 - Hasheem Thabeet had 12 points, 12 rebounds and 9 blocked shots as the Huskies (5-1) manhandled the Rattlers (2-4) in Hartford.

Wake Forest 56, Iowa 47 - Improving to 4-0 under new coach Dino Gaudio, the Demon Deacons beat the Hawkeyes (4-3) in Iowa City.

Notre Dame 94, Colgate 63 - Kyle McAlarney scored 25 points as the Fighting Irish (4-2) routed the Raiders (4-3) in South Bend, Ind.

Penn State-Harrisburg 115, Delaware Valley 109 - A wild game in Middletown, Pa., saw Abe Hitz (43 points) and Seth Lewis (31) combine for 74 points for the Lions (1-3) in a double-overtime win. Matt Beichey and Raheem Wiggins scored 25 points apiece for the Aggies (0-4).

Rowan 74, Arcadia 69 - The Profs (3-0) saw their 15-point lead shrink to three, but held on to beat the Knights (1-1) in Glassboro, N.J. Matt Byrnes led Rowan with 13 points.

Rutgers-Camden 61, Valley Forge Christian 48 - Antoine Miller put up 17 points as the Scarlet Raptors (2-2) topped the Patriots (7-1) in Camden.

Lehigh 67, N.J. Tech 58 - The Mountain Hawks (3-3) capitalized on 19 turnovers in beating the Highlanders (0-6) in Bethlehem, Pa.
