Marie Hicks | Services set
Funeral services have been set for Marie Hicks, 83, "the Rosa Parks of Girard College," who died Thursday of complications of Parkinson's disease.
Friends may visit at 9 a.m. tomorrow at Faith Tabernacle Baptist Church, 1728 W. Montgomery Ave. A funeral will be at 11. The funeral procession will travel from the church to Girard College, where it will circle the 10-foot wall, enter through the gates and drive to Founder's Hall and the statue of Stephen Girard before proceeding to Beverly National Cemetery in Burlington County.
