Services will be held Friday for Frances Sharkey, 81, formerly of Runnemede, a retired designer and sewing manager at the old Rand & Rand firm in Philadelphia, who died March 3 in Honolulu of complications due to emphysema.
Mrs. Sharkey relocated to Hawaii in 1998 to be closer to her family.
The Columbus, Ohio, native came to New Jersey in 1954 and was hired at Rand & Rand, which manufactured parochial-school uniforms. She returned to school after the firm closed in the early 1980s and became a tax accountant in 1985.
She married William Francis Sharkey III on Aug. 23, 1946.
Survivors include her sons William and Thomas; a sister; two brothers, and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church, 321 Orchard Ave., Runnemede, followed by a reception at Antoinette's restaurant in Runnemede. Interment will be private.
