The first step: Convention center expansion begins

The former Buck's Hardware on 13th Street in Center City felt the crunch of the wrecking ball Wednesday as political leaders from throughout the region took the first step toward expansion of the Pennsylvania Convention Center. The $700 million project is scheduled for completion in 2010.
