Adopt a pet!

Next month, the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society will open a storefront at Second and Arch Streets in Old City where people can adopt dogs and cats. It will give would-be owners an alternative to visiting the main shelter in a remote industrial section of Feltonville. Officials hope the adoption center will reduce the need to euthanize unwanted pets.
