Promotion ceremony for 178 Phila. police officers

With the murder this week of a colleague looming as a sobering reminder of the risks they face, 178 Philadelphia police officers were promoted this morning in a ceremony at Temple University. Mayor Street, District Attorney Lynne Abraham and other officials spoke about the death of Officer Chuck Cassidy as they addressed the newly ranked officers at McGonigle Hall.
