Jimmy Buffett

, 64, is well on his way back to optimal Cool Cat status.

The neo-Schoenbergian jingle stylist has been released from a hospital in Sydney, Australia, after an overnight stay following his sudden tumble off a concert stage Wednesday.

The "Margaritaville" singer has canceled his Saturday show in New Zealand, but "is doing well," he says on his website (Margaritaville.com). His next show is in April in Tampa, Fla. No other details have been released.

In other health news, Peter Jackson was rushed to a hospital in Wellington, New Zealand, with stomach pains. Reps say the Hobbit helmer underwent surgery for a perforated ulcer. (With all the troubles that flick has had, it's small wonder.) They promise Jackson will be back on set in no time.

Last, but not least, Bret Michaels, 47, is back home a mere two days after undergoing a successful operation to repair a hole in his heart.

News from Cupid's estate

Kate Hudson

finally has confirmed she is expecting a bairn with

Muse

rocker

Matthew Bellamy

. "I'm just starting to pop," she tells Brit TV gabber

Graham Norton

in a chat set to air Friday. Kate, 31, won't reveal the baby's sex or name. She has a 7-year-old son,

Ryder

, with her ex,

Black Crowes

singer

Chris Robinson

, and says she has no plans to wed Bellamy.

Kelsey Grammer's lawyer has told a Lalaland judge that the courts better rush through the Frasier star's divorce with his third wife, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Camille Grammer. Kelsey, 55, has a compelling reason: He's already planned his honeymoon with his 29-year-old trade-in upgrade, Kayte Walsh. "It's a road trip across country," Kelsey told Kelly Ripa and guest host Eric Ferguson Thursday on Live! With Regis and Kelly.

Heads up, Gervais! It's a Cattrallattack

Talk about a delayed reaction:

Kim Cattrall

, 54, finally has commented on

Ricky Gervais

' vicious charge at the Golden Globes that the

Sex and the City

chicks are too aged to be slurping Cosmopolitans and pining for young boys.

But Kim's comment is "I can't really comment." On TV celeb exposé Extra, she said, "Ageism is out there and I fight it every day." She goes on to comment-without-commenting: "So I think that's kind of a cheap joke."

Dealin' 'n' wheelin' in Tinseltown

Accomplished poet, painter, and photographer

Viggo Mortensen

, 52, whose books include

Ten Last Night

and

Coincidence of Memory

, may have to put in more hours at his part-time job.

Variety says Viggo is in talks to star in Rupert Sanders' Bros. Grimm-ian (Grimm Bros.-ian??) fable, Snow White and the Huntsman. Charlize Theron will play the Evil Queen.

Chris Pine, Hugh Jackman, Jude Law, Alec Baldwin, and Isla Fisher have been cast to star in Rise of the Guardians, an animated 3-D epic based on The Guardians of Childhood series by children's-book author William Joyce. It's about a bunch of pals with extraordinary abilities who make the world a better place for children.

Regis Philbin, whose sudden decision to leave Live! With Regis and Kelly has broken so many millions of daytime TV-viewing hearts, says he's not bailing for a new show, or to replace Bruce Willis in a new Die Hard pic, or to join the circus. He just wants to hang, he told the gathered faithful Thursday at a TV industry confab in Miami. "No, Regis wants to relax a little bit," he said in creepy third-person voice.

Today in the Kardashian empire

Kim Kardashian

is a human being with a heart and a soul, the reality queen reveals to CNN's

Piers Morgan

in a chat set to be shown Thursday night. Kim, who appeared with sisters

Kourtney

and

Khloé

, is a committed Christian who has given millions to a good cause.

"I give 10 percent [of my income] away to the church, and that's what I was taught," says Kim. Her Los Angeles-area church, LifeChange Community Church, was founded by Kim's mom, Kris Jenner, and Brad Johnson, the minister who wed Khloé and Lamar Odom in '09.

Growth industry: Marketing marketing

So why are the

K-Sisters

famous? What are they good at? Do they have any talents, Morgan asked Khloé, Kourtney, and Kim? "I would absolutely say that marketing is a skill," Kim says. But what do they market? Fame itself?

Like Gandhi, like Martin Luther King . . .

. . . Khloé Kardashian struggles, she reveals on her blog. All great saints and all great leaders spend lifetimes battling inner, and outer, demons. So what is our latter-day

St. Joan of Arc

's great ethico-existential struggle?

"I think my weight is my biggest lifetime struggle," she says. "My weight is always going up and down."

The semiotics of Justin Bieber

Best Buy says its mega-ultra-super-squared Super Bowl ad will star

Ozzy Osbourne

, 62, and his 16-year-old wing man,

Justin Bieber

.

"Justin Bieber is the biggest star out there," Best Buy marketing chief Drew Panayiotou tells USA Today. The Canadian child, who has 20 mil Facebook followers, is bound to pull in customers. But Panayiotou says the Bieby was cast not because of his fame, but because "he symbolically represents something important to the brand message." Whoa!

See, Best Buy is "looking to evolve into something else." Like a wee lil' butterfly?
