Jessica, wanted in two countries

Jessica Simpson

has announced on her Web site (Sweetkisses.net) that she plans to take a break from the recording studio, where she is working on a

country

record (?!), to entertain troops in Kuwait. She sends X's and O's to fans: "I love you all and am so blessed by the . . . love you show me everyday!! xoxo jess."

But Kuwait isn't the only nation that thirsts for Jess' presence. In Touch Weekly says the people of Ukraine have a major jones for her. For one thing, Jess' flick

A prince on the front lines

"When I was a child, I spake as a child . . . but when I became a man, I put away childish things." Looks as if

Prince Harry

has taken

St. Paul

's words to heart. And how.

The 23-year-old former party boy, who two years ago caused scandal by wearing a Nazi costume to a party, has been serving on the front lines in Afghanistan as a lieutenant in the British army's Blues and Royals regiment, the Ministry of Defense announced yesterday.

"His conduct on operations in Afghanistan has been exemplary," said army commander

Gen. Richard Dannatt

.

Harry has been working as a battlefield air controller, calling in air strikes on Taliban positions. He has been deployed in the Helmand province for 10 weeks.

"It's nice just to be here with all the guys and just mucking in as one of the lads," said Harry, who is third in line to the throne.

Vain power freak, yet lovable . . .

Rock demigod

Keith Richards

doles out big portions of love to his mate

Mick Jagger

in a new interview with Uncut mag, calling the

Rolling Stones

frontman a "power freak" who is also a "bit vain." (Of course, he meant that in the best possible sense of the term.)

"Mick's a maniac. He can't get up in the morning without knowing immediately who he's going to call," says Keith, who is publicizing

Martin Scorsese

's Stones docu,

Shine a Light

. "I just go 'Thank God I'm awake' and wait for three or four hours before I do anything," says the 64-year-old guitarist. "[Jagger] is a power freak and there's nothing we can do about it."

Asked what message he'd send to his younger self, Keith said, "I'd have said, 'Lay off the dope.' . . . It ain't worth it, pal."

A Norwegian break for Amy

Soul chanteuse

Amy Winehouse

, who was arrested for marijuana possession last October in the Norwegian city of Bergen, yesterday got a lucky break: Her court date, which had been scheduled for today, has been postponed until further notice, because her husband and codefendant,

Blake Fielder-Civil

, can't make the trip, since he is currently stuck in jail in Britain.

Brit tabloid The Sun says Amy, who last month spent two weeks in rehab, "is back in drug hell." No comment from Amy or her reps.
