A new poll shows a tight race to replace U.S. Rep. Joe Sestak (D., Pa.) in the Seventh Congressional District. The Monmouth University poll released Thursday examined one of the most closely-watched races in the region.

Republican Patrick Meehan leads Democrat Bryan Lentz by four points, according to the automated survey of 670 likely voters conducted between Monday and Wednesday.

The margin of error is 3.8 percent, with 49 percent of those surveyed supporting Meehan and 45 supporting Lentz, Monmouth's poll found. Seven percent were undecided or favored another candidate. Major nonpartisan political analysts have called the race a toss-up, although the Cook Political Report in late September changed its prediction to slightly favor Meehan. - Joelle Farrell
