Additional swine-flu vaccine clinics set in 3 counties
The Pennsylvania Department of Health yesterday scheduled additional swine flu vaccine clinics for this week in Delaware, Lancaster and Lehigh Counties.
The clinics will be from 9 a.m. till noon and 1 to 4 p.m. today, and 9 a.m. till noon and 1 to 3 p.m. tomorrow, in Chester, Lancaster, and Whitehall, north of Allentown. Reservations are required and may be made by calling 1-877-724-3258 between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.; phone lines are limited.
The clinics are free but intended for people in the five recommended H1N1 vaccine target groups: health-care providers and emergency medical services workers; pregnant women; people who care for or live with infants under 6 months of age; everyone ages 6 months to 24 years; and people 25 to 64 who have a range of underlying medical conditions that could put them at risk of complications from influenza.
