Phila. police seek information on suspected killer

Police asked for the public's help yesterday in capturing a man who is suspected in three slayings and a spate of other shootings.

Authorities believe Darryl Young, 20, who goes by the nickname "D-Nice," is responsible for the September shooting death of 19-year-old Kevin Hubbard in West Philadelphia. Young is also suspected of shooting and injuring a second person at that time.

Police said he is suspected in a triple shooting that left three men injured.

In addition, Young is a suspect in two other recent homicides, said Philadelphia Capt. James Clark.

All the shootings are believed to be drug-related, Clark said, and Young could turn out to be a suspect in a number of other shootings.

Young's last known address was on the 1200 block of South 61st Street. Police said he has also had addresses on the 1400 block of Allison Street and the 1200 block of South 61st Street.

Young is about 5 feet, 6 inches tall, 160 pounds, and is black with brown hair and eyes. He has a tattoo with the words RIP Fatz on his right arm. He is known to frequent the area of 56th Street and Lansdowne Avenue. He should be considered armed and "extremely dangerous," Clark said.

Hubbard was found shot to death Sept. 24 on the 1300 block of North 56th Street. Another man was found shot in the hand, police said.

On Oct. 26, police said, Young opened fire on three men near 56th and Master Streets.

The Fugitive Task Force is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone who provides information leading to Young's capture. Anyone with information can call 215-863-2732 or the police at 215-686-3334.

Well it's obvious that D-Nice is avenging the death of Fatz. It's the same old story. Just like in the Grand Theft Auto video game.

I think $5,000 would make one consider breaking the don't snitch policy
