A title clerk has been accused of embezzling nearly $500,000 from a Montgomery County real-estate settlement company where she worked for six years.
Lanette Sansoni, 39, of Warminster, used company checks from JRS Settlement Services of Huntingdon Valley to pay her credit-card bills as well as those of her mother and daughter, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office said yesterday.
Sansoni allegedly took $476,685.84 between 2004 and 2009, before the company fired her in March. She admitted the thefts to detectives and said she was acting alone, court records indicated.
Sansoni is to be arraigned Thursday morning on charges including theft and tampering with records. - Derrick Nunnally
