Man charged in ramming of dirt bike into officer

A 22-year-old man was arrested in West Philadelphia last night on suspicion of intentionally ramming his dirt bike into a police officer on a bicycle Thursday night, police said.

A 22-year-old man was arrested in West Philadelphia last night on suspicion of intentionally ramming his dirt bike into a police officer on a bicycle Thursday night, police said.

Dwayne Green, 22, was spotted riding a four-wheel ATV at a high rate of speed in the area of 50th and Walnut Streets and was arrested without incident, said Lt. John F. Walker. He was identified by the partner of Officer Robert Sellers, 34, who suffered a broken wrist and cuts and bruises during the collision Thursday. Green faces one count of attempted murder and related charges. - Robert Moran
