TRENTON - A former supervisor at the Federal Aviation Administration's technical center in Pomona has been sentenced to two years in prison for taking bribes.

Darrell Woods, 51, of Winslow, admitted accepting more than $150,000 from the former president of an Absecon-based computer engineering company in exchange for steering FAA contracts.

Under the sentence imposed yesterday by U.S. District Judge Garrett E. Brown Jr., Woods also must pay $154,000 in restitution and serve three years of supervised release after completing his prison term.

Woods will remain free on a $250,000 secured bond until reporting to federal prison at a date to be determined. He pleaded guilty in June 2007 to wire-fraud and money-laundering charges. - AP
