The FBI is searching for a gunman with a good set of lungs believed to be responsible for at least four bank robberies in the Pennsylvania suburbs over the last three years.

He most recently struck the Willow Financial Bank in Huntington Valley. On July 25, he arrived just before 4:30 p.m. at the branch on the 700 block of Huntington Pike.

Dressed in a white jogging suit, he brandished a silver semiautomatic pistol and pointed it at a teller's head. He yelled at employees to put their hands up while threatening them with the gun.

With a bag of loot in hand, he ran out the door. And kept running. Witnesses said the bandit continued running for about a half-mile before they lost sight of him.

Bank surveillance cameras captured dozens of pictures of the man, who is white, in his late 20s or early 30s, and between 5-foot-9 and 6 feet tall.

Federal agents think the same man might be responsible for at least three other heists since December 2005.

An armed man matching the same description held up the First Federal Savings & Loan in Bensalem in December 2005; a Citizens Bank branch on Street Road in Bensalem in August 2006; and a First Service Bank on Bristol Road in Bensalem in January 2007.

The spacing of the robberies has puzzled investigators, but may provide the clue that breaks the case.

In each instance, the gunman has worn a hooded parka, sweatshirt, or windbreaker. Following each robbery, he was spotted running a long distance from the bank to make his getaway.

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 215-418-4000.
