Your Poem

The Ballad of Hope

This piece of art is dedicated to the people of Burma, where like foggy mist hanging over a churning sea, hope never leaves the heart of the friend.

She stands;

Beautiful, Brave, Bold.

A flower, a bird, the sky, the ocean.

She is all.

Believing, Hoping, Dreaming.

Integrity shines on her brow like the sun, warming the soul within.

Hate, prejudice, and lust

melt over her skin like lemon drops in the mouth of a child.

"The brave beauty of the flower, blooms knowing it won't last forever."

"Freedom of fear." "Revolution, of, the, Spirit."

She said these things.

Fom her heart they came.

Aung San Suu Kyi,

You are not alone.

We stand behind you.

We reach out to you.

We are the moats of your inner castle.

Aung San Suu Kyi,

The flower in a field of grain

The rainbow in the storm, The dove of the ark.

No gun or weapon or hate can bring you down.

Hold on.

Not even the biggest jail

can hold the loving soul within.

Because love is

the ray of light that shines on us all.

Laughing, Hoping, and Dreaming.
