'Breaking Pointe'
Presented by West Chester University Dance Company, "Breaking Pointe" is a dance concert with choreography and performances by WCU students. Works by faculty members Liz Staruch and Lisa Lovelace will also be part of the program. The performance will showcase modern, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop performances as well as a tap piece by guest artist Scott Jacobs. Call 610-436-3356 for more information.

Drug awareness briefing
West Chester High School PTO will host a districtwide drug awareness briefing for parents and school officials to address the shared concern of alcohol and drug abuse among children. Many parents don't realize the positive influence their involvement has on the decisions their children make. Students will present statistics on the use of drugs and alcohol in the district, and experts will talk about case studies of youth substance abuse and their negative consequences. An open discussion between the panel and attendees will follow. Call 610-724-1094.

'Grease' in Avon Grove
The popular musical
Grease brings the high school love story of Danny and Sandy to the stage at Avon Grove High School. The young lovers spend their senior year dealing with the peer pressure and other outside influences that interfere with their true feelings for one another. In the end, of course, love conquers all. 100 years of Broadway
A tribute to Broadway will take place as part of the Column Classics series at First Presbyterian Church in West Chester. The concert will include a review of 100 years of Broadway hits. Musical favorites from Gershwin show tunes to modern hits from such shows as
