Author to speak about effects of depression
Patricia C. Gallagher, author of the new book No More Secrets, will speak about the effect of undisclosed depression on her family at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow at the First Presbyterian Church of Lansdowne, 140 N. Lansdowne Ave.
The presentation, free and open to the public, will be in the church's social hall and is sponsored by the National Alliance on Mental Illness, a support group for the mentally ill and their families. Gallagher's husband, John, became depressed in 1999 after a threatened downsizing at his job. The talk will focus on how things changed after diagnosis and treatment of his illness.
