Mayor Nutter offers raffle for a World Series ticket

Just about anybody - people who live in the area and who do not work for the City of Philadelphia - has a chance for a drawing for World Series tickets, courtesy of Mayor Nutter. But they have only until 5 this afternoon to get in the raffle.

The rules are simple: send an e-mail to phillymayor@gmail.com by the 5 p.m. deadline, and include your name, address and telephone number. That's all. Two pairs of tickets for each of the upcoming games at Citizens Bank Park are up for grabs.

The winners will be notified tomorrow.

"I want to give everyone an opportunity to watch the reigning World Champion Philadelphia win a second title," the mayor said in a statement. "Send me an e-mail, and you just might end up cheering for the Phils alongside me in the Mayor's Box."

City employees, by the way, are welcome to apply for tickets through the normal process by contacting their supervisor. - Inquirer staff
