Newly paroled drug dealer shot in Camden
A convicted drug dealer paroled last week was slain outside a North Camden apartment complex Monday evening, according to police.
Elisha Shedrick, 25, of Camden, was shot multiple times outside Northgate I apartments around 6:30 p.m., a spokesman for the Camden County Prosecutor's Office said yesterday. Shedrick died shortly after arriving at Cooper University Hospital.
The case is under investigation, the spokesman said.
Shedrick was paroled after serving four months in jail for selling drugs on school grounds, according to the New Jersey Department of Corrections. - James Osborne
