The death of a 4-year-old Royersford boy who apparently shot himself remains under investigation, District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman said Thursday. The gun, a .40-caliber Glock, belonged to the boy's father and discharged one bullet, Montgomery County Coroner Walter I. Hofman said.

The child was with a sibling and had a toy gun he might have been playing with around the time of the incident at the family home on Chestnut Street, Hofman said. Officials said a parent was in the house at the time.
