Richard Stockton College buying hotel, golf course
GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, N.J. - An Atlantic County college is buying a hotel and golf course near Atlantic City. The board of trustees of Richard Stockton College in Galloway Township approved the purchase of the Seaview resort on Monday. The price has not been announced as the parties work out details of the transaction.

The purchase from LaSalle Hotels L.L.C. will include the historic 297-room Seaview hotel in Galloway Township and the Bay golf course. The existing operators will continue to manage the hotel and golf course, according to officials.
Stockton authorities plan to use part of the hotel for student housing. The college, part of the New Jersey state system, plans to develop a hotel management program. It is expected to make payments in lieu of taxes to Galloway Township. - AP
