Tai-Ling Gigliotti, widow of Anthony Gigliotti, principal clarinetist with the Philadelphia Orchestra until his death in 2001, has been arrested in Florida and charged with aggravated child abuse and false imprisonment of the couple's adopted son.

Her boyfriend, Anton Angelo, 45, was also taken into custody in Hernando County last week.

Authorities said the 16-year-old youth was beaten with wood and hoses, forced to sleep on the floor, and kept locked in a bathroom for days.

Gigliotti, 50, was released on $15,000 bond. The local sheriff's office said the youth escaped last Monday and sought help from a neighbor. He is now in state custody. - AP
