Former nonprofit director gets prison for thefts

Dorena Kearney, 53, of Lindenwold, was sentenced to a year and a day in prison for stealing $138,768 in federal program funds from Colours Inc., prosecutors said. Kearney also was ordered to pay that amount back in restitution.

Last June, Kearney pleaded guilty to using the agency's credit cards and lines of credit to pay for elective surgery, cruises, shopping trips, and personal legal fees. - Robert Moran
