PennDot to detail I-95 project in Northeast Phila.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will hold an open house Nov. 30 to update Northeast Philadelphia residents on a project to improve the I-95 interchange at Cottman Avenue.
The session will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Consolation Church, 7051 Tulip St.
The second phase of the project is to begin in mid-2011 and will involve rebuilding 1.4 miles of I-95 between Levick Street and Bleigh Avenue, reconstructing seven bridges on I-95, eliminating lane drops to create a four-lane road on both sides of the interstate, and adding a southbound ramp from Cottman.
