Bridge collapse: Death toll has reached 8
The death toll Friday stood at eight from the Aug. 1 collapse of a bridge over the Mississippi River in Minneapolis. More human remains were removed from the river during the day, but there was no indication of whether they represented one or more people.
Among the latest victims identified were Hana Sahal, who was almost 2 years old, and her mother, Sadiya Sahal, a nursing student from Somalia who was reported to have been five months pregnant. Their funerals were scheduled for Saturday.
