Male Fruit Flies, Uninhibited
Male fruit flies that were exposed to ethanol engaged in increased courting behavior with other males every day the experiment was repeated.
QuickTime clip simultaneously shows three recordings of the experimental chamber (0:21):
- Before any alcohol exposure, the flies are quiet and solitary.
- During the first exposure, they have greater energy and intimacy with other males.
- On the sixth exposure, they chase other males and attempt to mount them.
