Where to Find Flu Vaccine
Seasonal flu vaccine: Despite shortages, many local health departments have enough to immunize priority groups at public clinics. Schedules are posted on the sites below.
Swine flu vaccine: Shipments are coming slowly to hospitals, pharmacy chains and school districts. Check these Web sites - start with your county, then the state - regularly for updates on swine flu vaccine available to priority groups:
FLU.GOV: Collaboration among more than two dozen federal agencies provides the most comprehensive information on all kinds of influenza, vaccines, groups at risk. Its vaccine clinic locator is dependent upon the states, but there is an excellent search engine for questions about the flu and the vaccine.
PHILADELPHIA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH: The city distributes all swine flu vaccine to all providers in Philadelphia, and list locations of 28 scheduled swine flu clinics and dozens of seasonal flu clinics.
PENNSYLVANIA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH: The department distributes novel H1N1 vaccine in all counties except Philadelphia, and expects to eventually post swine flu clinics. Counties may be more up-to-date:
