Butterfly Farming
Mike Sikorski is the Butterfly Keeper at the Academy of Natural Sciences. He spends his day in their special garden -- checking for butterflies that emerged from chrysalises overnight, releasing them, mashing fruit for them to eat, caring for the vegetation and, of course, greeting schoolchildren and asking them to please not touch the harmless butterflies, even if they land on them.
Sikorski discussed butterfly farming from Costa Rica to Philadelphia in this audio slideshow from Inquirer staff photographer Michael Perez.
