A. Rose hits at Kanye

Kanye West has been drawn into the feud his missus Kim Kardashian and her sister Khloe are waging with South Philly girl Amber Rose. West, who dated Rose in 2008, says she was merely a rest stop on his way to Kim. "If Kim had dated me when I wanted, there would be no Amber Rose," he said, adding that he needed "30 showers" after it ended. In turn Rose tweeted, "We once loved each other so I won't do u like that," adding, "I'll leave [it] to the Kartrashians to humiliate u when they're done with u."

Cumberbatch fever . . .

A filmed performance of Oscar nominee and newlywed Benedict Cumberbatch's production of Hamlet, which runs this summer in London, will be shown in theaters Oct. 15.

'Alien' rises again

The Alien franchise has new life! Variety says Neill Blomkamp (District 9, Elysium) will make the fifth film in the sci-fi series, which has drawn such great helmers as Ridley Scott, James Cameron, and David Fincher. But can Alien be Alien without star Sigourney Weaver? It's unclear whether she'll do the picture. There's more: Scott also is shooting a sequel to his (non-Weaver-graced) 2012 Alien prequel Prometheus.
