Sideshow: Octomom's show: Eight isn't enough

Nadya Suleman, known as Octomom, had octuplets Jan. 26 and then got bizz-ay! On Friday, she signed with Eyeworks, makers of Breaking Bonaduce and The Biggest Loser, among other winners, to do a reality show. Papers filed with Los Angeles Superior Court say all 14 of her children will make $250 apiece per day. Shooting starts Sept. 1. The kids, all 8 or younger, will make about $250,000 total over three years. Bye-bye, baby bills!

Krazy Kath keeps 'em guessing

Katherine Heigl has been all over the place, just the way "SideShow" likes her. She's riding the blah-blah pony for her new flick, The Ugly Truth; changing hairstyle and clothes every 17.4 minutes; posing on the cover of August's In Style; and shooting Season 6 of ABC's Grey's Anatomy.

Monday with David Letterman, she mamboed around the question on all jaws: Is Izzie Stevens, Heigl's character in Grey, like, um, dead? When last seen, Izzie was collapsing after brain-tumor surgery. If Izzie isn't, why is Kath still shooting, and complaining so much, all the time, about it?

'Ugly' shows 'em the money

Krazy Kath's The Ugly Truth is what they used to call "box-office boffo." She stars in the rom-com with Gerard Butler, best known for failing to avoid 40,000 Persian arrows in the splatter classic 300. Ugly came in third place in the early Sunday-Friday sweeps with an estimated $27 mil in takings, behind a buncha 3D guinea pigs in the Disney caper G-Force (No. 1 at $32.2 mil) and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince ($30 mil). The horror romp Orphan sucked in $12.8 mil for fourth. Where's Brüno? After the historic plummet of last week, when the world apparently decided it hated him, Sacha Baron Cohen's Brünster slipped an additional 67 percent to $2.7 mil, still good enough for 10th.

Yes, the piglets were number one, but we are just not that into them.

Comic Con does TV and movies

Comic cons (short for comics conventions) are big media connections these days. This weekend, Comic Con 2009 San Diego killed! Jon Favreau, Don Cheadle, Scarlett Johansson, and Robert Downey Jr. did a panel on the coming Iron Man 2 and hinted at huge future Marvel movies. Hayden Panettiere, Milo Ventimiglia, and Zach Quinto paneled their NBC show, Heroes, trying to live down a blah season. Vampire novelist Charlaine Harris and HBO True Blood producer Alan Ball did a panel in which Ball announced a third season. Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, and Alexander Skarsgård (Blood's love threesome) wowed the crowd. Also seen: Denzel Washington, Megan Fox (of course), Rachel McAdams, and Cameron Diaz.

'Idol' aspirant found dead

Alexis Cohen, 25, famous for objecting when she flopped at American Idol auditions, was found dead by a road in Seaside Heights, N.J., on Saturday. A car had hit her in what police are treating as a homicide. Idol judge Simon Cowell ridiculed Cohen, who auditioned in 2007 and 2008, as the "Green Goblin"; viralized video clips made Cohen an Internet star.

Lots of mis-Spellings

Some are famous for having talent, some for talking crazy in public (see la Heigl, above), and some for . . . family fights. Candy Spelling, 63, mom of Tori Spelling, 36, sent an open letter to TMZ addressed to "middle-aged reality show stars (like my daughter)." Ouch-bomb! Tori and hub Dean McDermott star in the Oxygen reality show Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood. Seems Candy is unsweet at being invited late to a burfday bash for granddaughter Stella. Held June 6, the party included Melissa Joan Hart, Lisa Rinna, Harry Hamlin, Scott Baio (now that's an A list!), and Larry Birkhead - but not Grandma, who says you can't invite her at the last moment and expect her to make it. She suspects it's all to create friction - and material for a new episode! So crazy it might be true.

In other burfday party news . . .

Marc Antony threw a 40th b-day bash for wife Jennifer Lopez Saturday night in EnWhySee. Liza Minnelli and Ricky Martin were there to have cake and sing it, too. J-Lo was way surprised. But as TMZ asked: Wasn't she a widdle bit suspicious when she saw 47th Street was, like, shut down?
