Inqlings: Daughter joins in the ceremony
Just before they exchanged their vows before minister Stephanie Anne Thompson of St. John United Church of Christ in Riegelsville in a Solebury Township garden, Guarini knelt in front of 4-year-old Lola, Capodici's daughter. From his suit jacket, he pulled a small box containing a necklace, and the couple clasped it on her.
Guarini, runner-up on the first season of American Idol, yesterday described the wedding as "honestly, a perfect day. I can't describe it any better than that. Not a single hitch." Plans came together in a month, as the couple fit in the wedding around his work.
The reception was held at his parents' house in Doylestown. Cutting Edge Entertainment - Guarini's pre-Idol employer - worked the party, and guests chose salmon or filet mignon.
By phone from a McDonald's, where he was picking up yesterday's lunch, Guarini said he loves stepfathering: "Lola is one of the sweetest, easiest children to be a stepdad for." Guarini says he and his new wife - who writes magical realism and manages at Siren Records in Doylestown - are "great friends" with Lola's dad and his wife.
Guarini, 30, has known Capodici, 27, for a dozen years. She's the daughter of his Lenape Middle School English teacher, Karen Capodici. They connected when he came home for Christmas two years ago. Her mother now teaches at Central Bucks West.
Capodici's dad, Bernie, is a percussionist with Drivetime, a smooth-jazz cover band. Son-in-law and father-in-law have an Oct. 10 gig booked at the Sellersville Theater.

As part of a consent decree with the Federal Communications Commission, WIP (610) has agreed to make a "voluntary contribution" to the U.S. Treasury of $4,000 over the 2005 Wing Bowl. Contestant Arnie Chapman of Long Island, N.Y., had qualified by eating 28 clementines but was later kicked out because he runs the Association of Independent Competitive Eaters, a smaller rival of the International Federation of Competitive Eating, which sanctioned Wing Bowl XIII. The FCC found that WIP had not accurately stated contest rules.
