The Inquirer's Ashley Fox chatted with readers online at philly.com yesterday. These are excerpts: Ashley, do you think we've seen Brian Westbrook's last carry as an Eagle?

Eagletarian: Reid says Westbrook's 'in a good place'

Eagletarian: McNabb on Chicago, benching

Everyone is blasting the Hoodie, and that's easy and understandable, but he made the only decision he could, even if it exposed him as if he were running naked through Foxborough.

Ashley Fox tweeted during the Eagles' 31-23 loss to the Chargers yesterday. Here's a sampling. Follow her at twitter.com/AshleyMFox. First quarter It's too bad the weather in S.D. is miserable. No clouds. 70 degrees. Tough conditions for football.
For weeks, Ron Jaworski has been unsure whether the Eagles are good enough to pull out one of those Andy Reid specials and make a playoff run.
The rumors pop up like weeds in the grass, one after another after another. Someone will take Larry Johnson. Someone will be so desperate for a running back, even one that appears used up, that they'll take on Johnson's unstable and unpredictable personality. It'll probably only cost them the veteran minimum.
The participants in my online chat about the Eagles yesterday were not happy. They wanted Andy Reid fired. They wanted Donovan McNabb benched. One thought the Eagles would lose by 30 at San Diego on Sunday. Another thought the Eagles wouldn't win more than two games the rest of the season.
They collapse in December. That is the Dallas Cowboys' recent history. And until they prove otherwise and win a playoff game for the first time in more than a decade, they will be looked at skeptically. They've earned that.
Editor's note: Ashley Fox blogged during last night's Eagles-Cowboys game. Here's a sampling: Pregame Brian Westbrook is inactive. The team released a statement, saying Westbrook started having symptoms of "a mild headache" on Friday.
Every word that comes out of Donovan McNabb's mouth for public consumption is deliberate. Everything he says has meaning, a purpose, and an intended audience.
To hear Tony Romo tell it, everything is rosy at the Ranch. The Dallas Cowboys are working hard, taking things day by day, focused on improving, not gazing at the big goal, just doing all the little things it takes to get there.
Editor's note: Every Tuesday, Ashley Fox participates in an online chat at philly.com. Here's a look at some of the questions and answers from yesterday.
They are, in the estimation of no less an authority than Eagles defensive coordinator Sean McDermott, two of the "elite" pass-rushing defensive ends in the NFL. For the Eagles to hold off the New York Giants, much less thrash them as they did Sunday, the offense had to keep Osi Umenyiora and Justin Tuck off quarterback Donovan McNabb.
