Sideshow: Stern not sorry for slam of Sidibe

Gabourey Sidibe

. The Sirius Schlock Jock said on his show Wednesday that he lambasted the Oscar-nominated actress for her weight to save her life - and those of other obese men and women.

"Obesity in this country is out of control," Stern said. "I might be an [bleep], but I'm pointing out the obvious," he said. "She's probably going to be dead very soon if she keeps eating this way."

The Webo-blogo-sphere has been set aflame by commentators excoriating Stern for his diatribe. Stern's words have been labeled repulsive, hateful, and racist.

"There's the most enormous, fat black chick I've ever seen. She is enormous," Stern, 56, said on Monday. He said Sidibe "was more of a prop" in Precious, which earned her a best-actress Oscar nod.

"She's never going to have another shot" at a starring role, Stern said. Sidibe's career seems just fine: She has landed roles on Showtime's The C Word and the flick Yelling to the Sky.

Asked to elaborate, Kristen says Jett has a hunch thing going (as in The Hunchback of Notre Dame?). "But a cool one," Kristen adds.

For her part, Jett tells E!Online the pic is all about "sex, drugs and rock-and-roll." E! notes with relish that Kristen and costar Dakota Fanning "share a big wet kiss onscreen."
