Yes, you can go home again. Just ask Desperate Housewives hottie Eva Longoria, 34, who says that next month she will visit her ancestral home, a remote village named Longoria in Spain's northern Asturias region.

Eva has traced her roots back to the region, which was native soil for her forebears until they struck out for the Americas in 1603.

"The Longoria name comes from Asturias," Eva tells People mag. "I'm going to Oviedo [the provincial capital] with my parents in November. They've always wanted to see where our family came from."

Eva's ancestor Lorenzo Suarez de Longoria took his name from the village, as was the custom. His house is still standing - one of the 24 homes that house the village's population of 60, whose average age is 70.

"We saw it in the press. We now want to know exactly when she's coming," said Roberto Perez Lopez, the mayor of Belmonte de Miranda, the municipality of which Longoria is part. "What's certain is that we will organize the best welcome possible for her. I was thinking about organizing a reception and giving her the title of 'ambassador at large' of the village."

Kate Moss, who single-handedly launched the "heroin chic" health 'n' fashion craze of the 1990s, does not dig fame. Not anymore. The supermodel tells British mag Observer Woman that she's nothing like the persona constructed by the media.

"It's not me, it's a character I'm made into," she says. "I have no idea why people are interested in me. I don't like being famous. It encroaches on your life a lot."

Fact, it's awful just talking about fame: "It makes me feel a bit uncomfortable talking about it, actually."

Coen Brothers busy with 'Grit'

Sibling filmmaking team Joel and Ethan Coen, who put the quirk back in quirky, are in talks with stars Matt Damon and Josh Brolin to join the cast of their next smash-hit success, the Western remake True Grit, Variety says. Jeff Bridges, who played the Dude in the Coens' Big Lebowski, already has been cast as U.S. Marshal Rooster Cogburn, played by John Wayne in the 1969 classic.

'Promises' for Broadway

Will & Grace star Sean Hayes will make his Broadway debut costarring with Kristin Chenoweth in the late '60s musical Promises, Promises, which is set to open at New York's Broadway Theatre in April.

Promises has a book by Neil Simon and a score by Burt Bacharach and Hal David. The musical about an overambitious insurance-company drone opened on Broadway in '68 and ran for 1,200 shows. It was adapted from Billy Wilder's Oscar-winning 1960 film dramedy The Apartment, which starred Jack Lemmon, Shirley MacLaine, and Fred MacMurray.

Follow the white rabbit

Nicole Richie is pumped for Halloween. "I'm going to be the White Rabbit," she tells Extra. But her daughter Harlow isn't so hot for Alice in Wonderland. "She really wants to be Tinker Bell," NR says. As for her 6-week-old son Sparrow, Nicole says, "I will wrap him up in toilet paper and make him a little mummy. He doesn't care." Sounds snuggly.
