A story yesterday on election results in the Pennsylvania suburbs wrongly stated how long Republicans have controlled local government in Chester City. Democrats last broke the Republican hold in the city, winning election to the council, in 1991.

In a story yesterday about the Pennsylvania Supreme Court's decision to order a new trial in a defamation case involving the Wilkes-Barre Citizens' Voice, the Associated Press reported erroneously which appeals court upheld the verdict. That decision was issued last year by Superior Court.

Republicans Patricia McCullough and Kevin Brobson won the two seats on Commonwealth Court that were on the ballot in Tuesday's Pennsylvania election. The Inquirer erroneously reported yesterday that Republicans and Democrats split the seats.
