Stephanie Winegrad has been appointed chair of the Montgomery County Bar Association Family Law Section. She is a partner at Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel L.L.P., Philadelphia.

Faith in the Future Foundation, a nonprofit that aims to make Catholic education affordable for any family that desires it, named the following board members: Thomas M. Gallagher, a partner at Pepper Hamilton L.L.P.; Denise C. Marbach, retired partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers; and James F.X. O'Brien, a retired NBA coach.

Stuart W. Davidson has been appointed to chair the professionals committee of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans. He is a partner at Philadelphia labor, employment and workers' compensation law firm Willig, Williams & Davidson.

Carol Steinberg, an executive coach affiliated with Vistage CEO Coaching & Consulting Services, and Matthew Gurin, a management consultant and vice president at Korn Ferry-Hay Group, have been elected to the board of the Philadelphia Sinfonia Association. The association's programs include the Philadelphia Sinfonia, a symphonic orchestra composed of 100 musicians ages 13-23, an intermediate-level orchestra, and the Philadelphia Sinfonia Players.

Encore Series Inc., presenter of the Philly Pops, Philadelphia, has named Tony Mahon to its board. He and his wife, Susan, served as co-chairs of the Pops Ball in September. He is president of AJM Insurance Co., based in Mount Laurel.

Robert E. Mortensen has been elected to the board of Symphony in C, a Collingswood-based orchestra that prepares musicians and conductors. He retired as president and chair of the board of Merchants Despatch Transportation Corp., a subsidiary of Conrail.

Checkpoint Systems Inc., a Thorofare company that develops supply-chain control systems, has appointed Daniel R. Maurer to its board as an independent director. He had been senior vice president at Intuit, leading the $800 million Small Business Solutions Group, and vice president of strategy at Campbell Soup Co.

recently retired chief of police of Lower Southampton Township, has been elected president of the Feasterville Business Association. He replaces Stu Coren, president of Rosen Coren Marketing, Public Relations & Advertising, who will take a position as a director on the FBA's executive board.

Other officers include: Stewart Gritz, president of Junk King of Bucks County, Feasterville, vice president; Dennis Markowitz, retired founder and COO of the Financial Group Plus family of companies, Southampton, treasurer; Linda Pupkiewicz, assistant director of the Lower Southampton Township Library, Feasterville, recording secretary; Diane Fetscher, financial adviser for Oppenheimer & Co., Jenkintown, corresponding secretary; Karen Madotto, manager of First Federal Bank of Bucks County, Bensalem, financial secretary; and Michael R. Lesher, senior project manager for Regal Properties Inc., Langhorne, sergeant-at-arms.

New board members include: Linda Lowney, co-owner of Town & Country Kennel Inc., Langhorne; Susan Harrison, co-owner of Greater Philadelphia Abstract Co., Trevose; and Tom Pagan, manager of Office Max, Feasterville. Retained for a second year as directors are Rose McMenamin, a board member of the Playwicki Farm Foundation, Feasterville; Jim Kelley, president of Jim Kelley Public Adjusters, Bensalem; and Rick Tyrrell, owner of Cheese Dawgs, Feasterville.
