On the Boards
The Anti-Violence Partnership of Philadelphia, a nonprofit agency that provides advocacy, grief counseling and support for the families of murder victims, and offers violence prevention training for children and adults, has named the following to its board:
Ari Benjamin Bank is an assistant professor in the English and Humanities Department at the Community College of Philadelphia.
Shyra Bland is executive director for the Court Appointed Special Advocates of Camden County.
William McEwan is a manager with Vanguard Group Inc., Malvern, working in its information technology division.
Sarah Snyder is a project manager with Vanguard, working in its risk management division.
Donald L. Correll was elected to a three-year term on the board of directors for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, a business advocacy organization. He is president and chief executive officer of American Water Works Co. Inc., Voorhees. Correll is the president of the National Association of Water Companies and serves on the boards of a variety of civic, professional and business organizations.
The Pennsylvania Lung Cancer Partnership, the Philadelphia-based local chapter of the National Lung Cancer Partnership, a health advocacy organization, appointed the following to its board of directors.
Nancy Gatschet, a self-employed consultant in Philadelphia, survivor and advocate, is president.
Jane Beaulieu, former director of clinical health at SDI Health, Plymouth Meeting, is vice president.
Frank Cassidy, client service administrator at Nuveen Investments, Radnor, is treasurer.
Linda Karp, president of Karp Marketing, Philadelphia, is secretary.
The Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House, a nonprofit organization that provides lodging and support to families of critically ill children, named Marlene Weinberg president of its board. She has served on the board since 1997 and is an owner/operator of McDonald's restaurants in the Philadelphia region.
Mission Kids, a Norristown nonprofit organization that works to ease the criminal justice process for abused children in Montgomery County, elected the following officers and members to its board:
Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman, who cofounded the organization, is president.
Laurie O'Connor, director of the Montgomery County Office of Children and Youth, is vice president.
Paul J. Kelly 3d, manager of assurance and accounting services for LarsonAllen L.L.P., Blue Bell, is treasurer.
