Gloucester Catholic's option offense gave quarterback Cody Brown a chance to shine on Saturday as the senior led the Rams to a 21-7 win over visiting Deptford in a West Jersey Football League Independence Division contest.

Brown carried the ball a dozen times out of the option and gained 87 yards, including a 14-yard touchdown run for the first score of the game. The TD was set up by Sean Gartland's 23-yard reception off a fake punt.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Brown also completed 10 of 28 passes for 139 yards, hitting 5-foot-8 sophomore John DeLaurentis with TD strikes of 4 and 32 yards.

Gartland chipped in with 59 rushing yards on 10 carries, and also made a key tackle on defense, stopping the Spartans (0-3 overall, 0-3 division) short of a first down on a fourth-down play when the Rams (1-2, 1-1) held a 14-0 lead.

Florence 16, Bordentown 0 - The Flashes' (2-1, 2-0) defense, inspired by tackle Bobby Braun, who played with a broken right hand, allowed host Bordentown to reach the Florence end of the field only twice in the Liberty Division game.

Jordan Stockton carried the ball 11 times for 83 yards, including a 40-yard touchdown, and Jake Foehr added a late insurance score.

Bordentown (0-2, 0-2) managed 129 total yards.

Willingboro 26, Maple Shade 0 - Matt Dash threw for one touchdown and ran for another, highlighting the Chimeras' (2-0) interdivision win at Maple Shade (0-3).

Malcolm Culmer caught the 34-yard touchdown from Dash, and also returned a fumble 55 yards to the end zone earlier in the game.

Notre Dame 35, Rancocas Valley 7 - Kelvin White's 5-yard touchdown run was the lone bright spot for host Rancocas (2-1, 1-1) in the Capitol Division loss.

Notre Dame's (3-0, 2-0) attack featured four touchdown passes by Anthony Perna.

Nottingham 27, Hamilton West 24 (2 OT) - Robert Wiggs' 25-yard touchdown reception in the second overtime period ended the Valley Division win for host Nottingham (3-0, 3-0).

The Hornets (1-2, 1-2) had taken the lead on a 33-yard field goal, setting the stage for Wiggs.
