Phila., region, to shut down for storm
The impending snowstorm is setting off a round of cancellations and postponements. A select list:
All Philadelphia City offices and courts will be closed tomorrow. All libraries and rec centers also will be closed.
The School District of Philadelphia has canceled all classes and activities for tomorrow and after school activities tonight including all athletic programs and professional development classes.
The Archdiocese of Philadelphia announced it was closing all schools in the city tomorrow. Suburban parochial schools will make their own announcements, a spokeswoman said.
Philadelphia County Courts - Traffic, Municipal and Common Pleas - will be closed tomorrow. Municipal Court Preliminary Arraignment Court, Bail Acceptance, Emergency Protection From Abuse, and the Warrant Unit will remain open.
U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania will be closed tomorrow.
US Airways has canceled all flights into and out of Philadelphia from 8 p.m. tonight until 2 p.m. tomorrow.
"Depending on how the weather goes, we may have some very limited departures before 2 p.m. tomorrow," said US Airways spokesman Morgan Durrant. "But that's always subject to change."
Southwest Airlines has suspended all flights into and out of Philadelphia International tomorrow.

The Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce's Annual Mayoral Luncheon set for tomorrow has been rescheduled for Feb. 16.

The Polish American Cultural Center Museum will be closed tomorrow.
