Bucks man killed in fiery one-car crash

A 33-year-old man was killed early today when his car ran off a Bucks County road into a creek and burst into flames, police said.

James Cogan III, of Telford, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Hilltown Township Police said Cogan was driving a 2010 Toyota Camry on East Reliance Road about 12:10 a.m. when he lost control while rounding a curve, struck a guardrail and a bridge and then fell 15 feet down an embankment into a creek.

The car's gas tank also ruptured, engulfing the vehicle in flames, police said.

The investigation is continuing.
