Teen shot dead on Darby street

Police are looking for four teens in the shooting death last night of a 17-year-old boy outside his home in Darby Borough.

Ollie Cloyd had just returned from walking his dog about 11 p.m. when he went back outside and was cut down in a hail of gunfire on the 200 block of North 9th Street, police said.

Police Chief Robert Smythe said the shooting did not appear to be random, but he would not offer a possible motive.

Three of the four assailants fled on bicylces, police said, adding they appeared to be in their late teens.

Cloyd, who was hit by multiple gunshots, had just finished his junior year at Penn Wood High School.
