Glouco holds tech fair for teen girls
More than 170 girls will visit the Gloucester County College campus today for the college's 8th annual Women in Technology Fair.
The girls, eighth- and ninth-graders from public and private schools throughout the county, will learn about career opportunities in science, technology, engineering and math.
Professional women will be on hand to share their knowledge and experiences. Workshops will include crime scene investigation and engineering in action, according to a news release from the college.
The event receives support from a range of local businesses and organizations, including Campbell Soup Co. and the state Department of Labor.
This year's keynote speaker will be Kelly A. DeFusco, senior food technologist at David Michael & Co. of Philadelphia.
