Lightfair trade show returning to Phila.

Lightfair International, billed as the world's biggest architectural and commercial lighting trade show, will return to the Pennsylvania Convention Center in April 2013.

The expanded convention center hosted the show in mid-May when it attracted 23,709 people - the highest attendance in its 22-year history. Lightfair will be held in Las Vegas in 2012.

The Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau announced the booking at its annual luncheon during which Mayor Nutter also said that all metered parking throughout the city would be free on Saturdays between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day after 11 a.m. in an effort to encourage shopping in the city.    - Mike Armstrong
