Pa. American Water to spend $1.8M in Scranton

Pennsylvania American Water, a wholly owned subsidiary of Voorhees-based American Water Works Co., said it will spend about $1.8 million to upgrade more than 10,000 feet of water mains in Scranton.

The project will increase water flow for customers as well as for firefighting, the company said.

The work is expected to be completed by early fall, the company said.    - Roslyn Rudolph
