PhotoMedex loses one CEO, names replacement

PhotoMedex Inc. has named Dennis McGrath president and chief executive officer, to replace Jeffrey O'Donnell, who is leaving the company after holding those positions for 10 years.

The company said O'Donnell was leaving to pursue other business interests.

Both moves were announced today.

McGrath, who joined the Montgomeryville company in January 2000, was chief financial officer.

PhotoMedex develops laser and non-laser treatments for a variety of skin conditions, including psoriasis, acne and non-melanoma skin cancer, as well as wound healing. The company also makes surgical lasers for hospitals and surgery centers for procedures in urology, gynecology, orthopedics and other surgical specialties.

The company announced in January that it had completed a one-for-seven reverse stock split of its common shares to maintain its listing on the Nasdaq Global Market.

Company shares have traded in the last year in the range of 91 cents to $5.60, and were priced at $1 early this afternoon.
