Havis-Shields merging with Mich. firm
Havis-Shields Equipment Corp., a Warminster manufacturer of products for fire and public safety vehicles, said it is merging with Ledco-Chargeguard, a Plymouth, Mich., company that serves the same market.

The deal was described as a merger of equals, with both sides retaining their identities and operations.
The corporate headquarters will be in Warminster.
Havis-Shields, with 110 employees, makes emergency-vehicle consoles, prisoner transport systems and emergency-scene lighting. Ledco has 40 workers and makes mobile computing systems. -Paul Schweizer
