QuantRx cleared by FDA for PCP test
QuantRx Biomedical Corp., a Doylestown company that develops diagnostic products, said that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration had granted clearance on its RapidSense PCP test - a test to determine the presence of phencyclidine, an illegal drug that is sometimes sprayed on leaves, including marijuana, and smoked.

The company's RapidSense PCP test is intended for use in the professional market. It is the second of QuantRx's products aimed at testing for the presence of commonly abused drugs, at a time when such testing is on the increase.
The company's corporate offices are in Doylestown, but research and development is conducted in Portland, Ore.
Company shares closed yesterday on the over-the-counter market at 42 cents, up 7 cents.
